The Waves of Your Actions

Ecclesiastes 11: 1 (NIV) Ship your grain across the sea;
    after many days you may receive a return.”

Feeling Frustrated

Frustration is happening everywhere. I’ve been dealing with technology issues lately and it stresses me out. I could be rude to the people trying to help me, but I remember what I send out, I get back, similar to the waves at sea.

For some reason in my mind, I thought the verse is what you send out, you get back times seven, but I think I am wrong.

Measure For Measure

Luke 6: 38 (ESV) “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you.”

2 Corinthians 9:6 (ESV) “The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.”

Hebrews 13:16 (ESV) “Do not neglect to do good and to share what you have, for such sacrifices are pleasing to God.”

Proverbs 11:24-25 (ESV) “One gives freely, yet grows all the richer; another withholds what he should give, and only suffers want. Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered.”

Job 4:8 (NIV) “As I have observed, those who plow evil and those who sow trouble reap it.”

The Waves of Our Actions

What you send out you get back equally. I have seen this in my life. I’ve seen people in the work world get terminated because of their behavior. Sometimes it took a while. It took years for them to sow their seeds of distrust, anger, gossip, and bullying, but they eventually lost their job. When I think about it, I find it sad. They are so miserable in their lives that they need to make everyone else miserable also.

If you find yourself frustrated, angry, or, just in a bad mood, let’s make a pact to think of the waves and remember what we send out, we get back.
