My son recently told me about a video he watched. In the video, the people hooked up a machine to a plant and it made music.

According to the website,
” they created an instrument able to perceive the electromagnetic variations from the surface of plant leaves to the root system and translated them into sound. Science increasingly supports the concept that plants operate with an innate intelligence and logic diverse from our own.”
This made me think….all of creation is singing
“I tell you,” he replied, “if they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”
Luke 19:40 (NIV)
“Let the heavens be glad, and let the earth rejoice; And let them say among the nations, ‘The LORD reigns.’ Let the sea roar, and all it contains; Let the field exult, and all that is in it. Then the trees of the forest will sing for joy before the LORD; For He is coming to judge the earth.”
1 Chronicles 16: 31-33 (NIV)
“Sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth.”
Psalm 96:1 (NIV)
“Sing for joy, you heavens, for the Lord has done this;
shout aloud, you earth beneath.
Burst into song, you mountains,
you forests and all your trees,
for the Lord has redeemed Jacob,
he displays his glory in Israel.”
Isaiah 44:23 (NIV)
“Shout for joy, you heavens;
rejoice, you earth;
burst into song, you mountains!
For the Lord comforts his people
and will have compassion on his afflicted ones.”
Isaiah 49:13 (NIV)
The Canticle of the Sun
The Hymn “All Creatures of Our God and King” is attributed to St. Francis and his “Canticle of the Sun”.

Laudato si, mi Signore, per sora nostra matre Terra,
la quale ne sustenta et gouerna,
et produce diuersi fructi con coloriti fior et herba.
Praised be You, my Lord, through Sister Mother Earth,
who sustains us and governs us and who produces
varied fruits with coloured flowers and herbs.
Stop and Hear the Flowers
Think about it as you go outside. Everything around you is praising our creator! Stop and feel the warmth of the sun and the wind on your face. The leaves are dancing in the trees and the growing plants are singing to God.
Thank you, God, for our beautiful Earth. I join in with all of your creation in singing your praises and giving you praise!
Such a beautiful message in today’s blog. It is a song after my own heart!
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Pass along and share! 🙂
