Social distancing. Stand six feet part. Wear a mask. These are the new buzzwords in our world right now. Make you feel alone? I know it makes me feel this way. I’ve decided to make this a learning experience because everything we go through in live is for a reason and you can learn from it, even if you learn that you don’t ever want to go through it again.
The Bible says in Psalm 139 verse 13 “For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb” (NIV). The verse also talks about God knowing when you wake and where you go. That is an amazing thought! The God of the universe is there when you open your eyes in the morning until you shut them at night.
Jesus says in Matthew 28:20 “…And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age”(NIV). Jesus goes on to say in John 14:26 “But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you”(NIV).
Three verses in the Bible that tells us that the Holy Trinity is with us. I need to remind myself that I’m not alone. God is here. Jesus is here. The Holy Spirit is here. Feel alone? Feel your heartbeat. Touch your chest and close your eyes. Say a prayer of thanksgiving. God is with you. You are never alone.
Loneliness Lesson #1-I am not alone. God is with me always.
Find a verse in the Bible that you can write down and keep with you to remind you that you are not alone. God is with you and I’m praying for you.
This is a wonderful blessing and something that I needed to read. I like to think of this time as a gift of rest from our Heavenly Father. Hearing these verses reminded me of an Irish prayer that I like to think of when I am overwhelmed or at work. He is always there, showing me is every little detail. Thank you for praying.
Christ with me, Christ before me,
Christ behind me,
Christ in me, Christ beneath me,
Christ above me,
Christ on my right, Christ on my left,
Christ when I lie down, Christ when I sit,
Christ when I stand,
Christ in the heart of everyone who thinks of me,
Christ in the mouth of everyone who speaks of me,
Christ in every eye that sees me,
Christ in every ear that hears me.
Amen!
I love that prayer! Thank you for your comments! Love you!
