2 Chronicles 6:29-30 (NIV)
“and when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your people Israel—being aware of their afflictions and pains, and spreading out their hands toward this temple— then hear from heaven, your dwelling place. Forgive, and deal with everyone according to all they do, since you know their hearts (for you alone know the human heart)…”
2 Chronicles 6:

These verses come from Solomon when he was dedicating the temple. He talks of God’s greatness and asks him to come reside in the temple. He asks God to hear the prayers of his people.
We no longer have a temple, but we still have a God who is great. He still hears our prayers and our cries.
When we feel lonely, we feel that our hearts are breaking. We don’t trust God to get us through the rough patches and we dwell on the loneliness.
We need to be reminded of his greatness and what he has done for us.
Matthew 22:37 “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind”. (NIV)
If you feel alone, remember this verse. Remember God’s greatness and all of the wonderful things he has done and continues to do for you daily. He sees your heart and knows your pain. Ask for his comfort and to heal your broken heart.
Psalm 30:5 “For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
