Number Four is “Being Thankful for Today”
Before I begin, I will be using the word “Jewish. I have read that there are negative connotations to the word “Jew” and so to try to be as respectful as I can, I will use the term “Jewish”.
I’ll be showing these videos in the way that they match my topics and not necessarily the way they were filmed.
In this video, the interviewee says, that God could take it all in a second. He talks of being humble and he also professes thankfulness for everything he has.
As a Christian, what can we learn?
- We can practice humility.
- We can remember to ask and thank God for our daily bread.
- We can be grateful for all that we have and remember to give God and Christ the glory.
“Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up.”
James 4:10 (NIV)
“Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 6:1 (NIV)
“always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Ephesians 5:19 (NIV)
“Give us this day our daily bread.”
Matthew 6:11 (NASB)
“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to give as generously as this? Everything comes from you, and we have given you only what comes from your hand.”
1 Chronicles 29:14 (NIV)
This reminds me of some hymns and worship songs. “10,000 Reasons”, “Showers of Blessing”, and “Amazing Grace”.
I’ll leave you with a song, “Counting your Blessings”
