The Yeshua Prayer

When reading scripture, there is a school of thought that you should put yourself in the scriptures. Read the scripture and then think of the surroundings and with your senses place yourself there. I’m sure there is a name for this, but I can’t find an exact one.

Scriptures can also be read with “Lectio Divina”.

“Lectio Divina (Latin for “Divine Reading”) is a traditional monastic practice of scriptural reading, meditation and prayer intended to promote communion with God and to increase the knowledge of  God’s word. In the view of one commentator, it does not treat scripture as texts to be studied, but as the living word.”

Here is a website that gets explains the process of “Lectio Divina”.

I took these concepts and put them into a prayer. I call it the “Yeshua Prayer” because it is personal. That most likely, was his name on Earth.
