Praying for Others-The Alphabet Prayer

Sleep has never come easily to me. Mom said I didn’t sleep well as a baby and as an adult, I still struggle sometimes. I’ve never been one for counting sheep. Once my prayers are done, my mind continues to whirl around.

I read somewhere when you can’t sleep think of people with names that are an alliteration.  Alan Alda,  Brigitte Bardot, Charlie Chaplin and so on.

Once I had it down, it wasn’t a game anymore and I could run through the list rather quickly.

It then came to me, that I could pray for groups of people. This prayer was divinely inspired, I believe.

The prayer isn’t to make me fall asleep. I do it to pray for different groups of people. I believe that the world would be a better place if we all prayed for one another.

Take what I give you and enhance the list.  Make it your own.  You will probably think of things because of your life and experiences that I haven’t.

I hope this prayer will encourage you to broaden your prayer time and think of those throughout the world that could use prayer.
